The District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw has initiated ex officio preliminary inquiries into the following matters: suspicion of creating a patient admission system at the Emergency Department of South Hospital in Warsaw based on non-medical criteria, contrary to triage principles, which may have exposed other Emergency Department patients to direct danger of loss of life or serious harm to health, i.e., in the scope of the offense under Article 160 § 1 of the Penal Code; and into the matter of attesting to falsehoods for the purpose of obtaining a financial benefit in documentation certifying the time worked at the Emergency Department of South Hospital in Warsaw, i.e., the offense under Article 271 § 3 of the Penal Code.
